I have my own concerns about the interpretation of the exact wording. When it states "...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,..." does that mean that religious practice is unrestricted? This leads to the extreme example in order to test the First Amendment: if a religion arises which believes in child sacrifice do we allow them to carry it out? Does the Constitution trump law?
